I have loved Disney shorts for as long as I can remember. I'm particularly partial to the offerings from the 30s and 40s.
a long time favourite and the one I want to recommend today is the 1944 carton, Donald Duck and the Gorilla.
Donald Duck shorts are always a treat, especially the ones that feature his nephews but this one is near perfection in my eyes.
It has a vintage horror movie vibe with the disappearance of a giant and dangerous gorilla from a local zoo on a dark and stormy night.
Of course, Donald can't help letting his mean streak take over while he attempts to scare his nephews into thinking the gorilla has found it's way into their house. What Donald doesn't know is, it has.
Obviously this leads to all kinds of scares and laughs and makes for a fantastic 6 minutes and 57 seconds. A classic for a reason and one with great rewatchability.
