Live action Disney movies can be a little hit and miss. Much more so than their animated counter parts but I definitely still have my favourites.
Included in those and actually quite high at the top of my list are two of the Hayley Mills films from the early 1960s.
I grew up loving the Pollyanna adaptation starring her but it wasn't until a couple of years ago I saw the original Parent Trap for the first time and you know it has to be good when I tell you I can't choose a favourite between the two despite Pollyanna having the benefit of nostalgia on its side.
I've seen a couple of the other films Hayley Mills made for Disney and have enjoyed them all but Pollyanna and The Parent Trap are where it's at for me.
Hayley Mills was a wonderful child actresses with mannerisms comparable to Audrey Hepburn. If you haven't been exposed to her unique style of joyful children's films, I highly recommend checking them out. Forever a favourite of mine.
