For today's Trivia Tuesday I have a fun fact about the artist, Salvador Dali.
Now, Dali was a pretty unique and interesting guy in general so there are literally hundreds of things I could be about to write, but I wanted to go with a personal favourite which is his stingy method of getting out of paying his bills.
Dali has the distinction of being one of the few artists who experienced extreme fame during the span of his actual life. He was widely known and respected and because of this his physical works held great monetary value, so when Dali was out and about, perhaps for a lavish meal, he would pay via a personal check that he had previously doodled on, making the check more valuable as an object than the money it represented.
That is one sneaky piece of genius there.
