I love me a good classic book reissue, this is no secret. There are many reissue collections released over the past few years that I adore, especially from Penguin. Penguin do a great job with their classic books, but there are a bunch of collections I would love to see with more titles.
The first of which is the Penguin Threads collection. These edition are stunning. The cover design is originally embroidered and than printed onto these soft but durable cardboard covers. The attention to detail on these, are amazing. The inside of the cover reflects the inside of the embroidered design. They have french flaps and deckled edges. In all, gorgeous.
Another collection I need more from is the Puffin in Bloom series of Children's classics. These beautifully illustrated covers are some of my favourites in my collection. The illustrator, Anna Bond did an amazing job and I am desperately hoping for more of these. It also doesn't hurt that these are compact hardcovers with amazing end papers. I would fill shelves with these if I could.
Lastly, the Virago Designer Modern Classics are right up my alley. Each books has a different print by a different designer and I often find myself staring at these beauties lined up on my shelf. There are existing titles of these I want to add to my collection, but more options wouldn't do any harm, if you ask me.
