Back with another review for the Code Glokolor Moomin collection today, and as you may be able to tell from the pictures, we're talking nail polish.
First things first, the packaging. Obviously, the bottle is adorable with Snork Maiden making herself a flower crown. Love it!
The shade I'm reviewing is VM05 Violent Pink and I would describe it as a beautiful dusky lilac colour. I have been wearing this polish for seven days now. I have on two thin coats, sandwiched between the Revlon Quick Dry base and top coat.
Technically the polish looked fine with only one coat but I find that two coats of polish always wears better on me, regardless of the formula.
As you can see from the pictures this polish has worn beautifully. As the days go on, my nails are growing and the space between the colour and my cuticles became more pronounced, but the tip wear is extremely minimal until the six and seventh days of wear.
Overall, I'm very impressed.
The only negative I feel the need to mention is the smell. I have no idea to the actual ingredients of this polish but to my nose, it smells more like a polish I would have owned in the 90s as apposed to now.
Most current western brand polishes are free of the harsh chemicals that were previously used in polish production but I'm not sure of the practice in Korea, so If you're worried about those type of things, I would either do a little bit more research, or perhaps steer clear.
