I love the process of putting on makeup. It's a fun and relaxing part of my day. I sit down in front of my dressing table, put on an audiobook or a podcast and take my time applying whatever makeup I feel like wearing that day.
Now, saying that, I don't always feel like coming up with new combinations and trying new things out. Sometimes I just want something that I know works for me and to not have to make any choices.
My current "go to" eyeshadow routine consists of the products pictured above. Just 3 things that I know work well together and will give me a pretty sparkly bronze eye look with minimal effort and no thought.
Literally all I do to achieve this is put down Benefit's creaseless cream eyeshadow in Get Figgy (this is in their old packaging. Not sure if they have a comparable shade in their current line) all over the lid, top it with shade SCR01 from Missha and blend out the edges on top and underneath the eye with what is actually meant to be used as a blush from MAC in the colour Harmony.
It's a super simple, no fuss look that goes well with multiple different blush and lip colours which, if I'm honest, is where I really like to experiment with makeup. I have pretty hooded eyes so elaborate eyeshadow looks would get lost in translation on my face, which is one of the reasons I much prefer to play with bold lip colours.
How about you? What part of your makeup routine are you most adventurous with?
