I briefly touched on these inexpensive, and unique fragrances in my buying for book lovers video in December, but I thought I'd go over the other Demeter Fragrance Library perfumes I have, in case you're interested.
I can't remember how I originally stumbled across this line but I sure am glad that I did. These claim to be simple one note fragrances with interesting scent options, and while I agree the options are wonderfully unusual, I don't think these are one note.
The perfumes I have tried all smell incredibly accurate to the names on the label, but they are definitely a little more complex than you would suppose.
The Wet Garden scent, for instance, does smell fresh and green and watery. All the things you would expect. I adore it, but after the fragrance has had a chance to dry down, there are some distinctly floral notes. Still fresh and familiar, but with a light floral edge, which I find makes the scent all the more enjoyable.
The other perfumes I currently own are Paperback (which I mentioned in my video), Lettuce and Mistletoe.
I wore Mistletoe a lot over the holiday period but the scent that has gotten the most wear of late is actually Lettuce. I have so much trouble finding summer appropriate scents I enjoy and Lettuce works great to mix with other frangrances to lighten them up and make them a little bit fresher.
I also think these would be great to either travel with or keep in your handbag since these little 30ml atomisers are compact as well as being super affordable (I found mine online for $30 Australian) and it would be much less upsetting to lose or break one of these little guys as apposed to something more luxurious.
Definitely recommend if you're looking for some unusual scents that could be used to mix with fragrances you already own.
