This week for Makeup Monday, I wanted to talk not about cosmetics, but rather skincare.
I am a skincare addict. An illness passed down from my mother. I love the ritual of my skincare routine and I love trying out new products.
I'm lucky enough to not have particularly sensitive skin and therefore, don't have to worry about too many adverse reactions to ingredients. That being said, when I find a product that my skin responds to in a positive way, it's a happy occasion.
Pictured above are the current products I'm working through. While, I do like to test out new things, I only tend to mix things up when I've finished another product, and I only really repurchase things that made my skin look or feel abnormally incredible.
I've really been enjoying some Korean skincare over the past year as well. My current nighttime eye cream is the Skinfood, Watery Berry and never have I used an eye cream that leaves my skin so plump or firm. It's incredible.
I'm also firmly addicted to the current micellar water trend for makeup removal. I've tried a bunch of different brands some affordable, some less so. At the moment I'm using the ultra affordable Nivea option and It's pretty great. Would definitely recommend if you're on a budget and want a fast, effective but gentle makeup remover.
I could go on, but this is already turning into some kind of bizarre love letter to skincare, so I'll leave you here.
What about you? Is skincare something you care about or is it something you'd prefer not to bother with?
