The Santa Clause (1994) is basically a seasonal classic at this point.
I admit, it's not exactly a favourite of mine but it's one I don't mind watching every couple of years.
The story follows divorced dad Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) as he takes on the role of Santa Claus after the previous guy in the big red suit falls off his roof.
It's silly and sometimes over the top but still manages to be magical and heartwarming at times.
The movie spawned two mediocre sequels that I wouldn't go out of my way for but if you're looking something to occupy the kids for a good few hours, these movies might be the way forward.
