The wonderful British sitcom, Black Books is a firm favorite of mine, starring the hilarious Dylan Moran as the title character Bernard Black, a disgruntled Irish book store owner with a personality to match his dark name, but did you know the other two leads were bestowed with similarly appropriate names? The kind, but overtly hairy, Manny (played by Bill Bailey) boasts the last name of Bianco, which translates to white in Italian. The perfect counterpart to Bernard Black. While our female lead, Fran (played by Tamsin Greig) has the last name, Katzenjammer, which translates to "cat's wail" from the original German. If you've heard her laugh that alone might make a reasonable amount of sense but the phrase is also, conveniently, used to describe the effects of a hangover. Perfect.
