I recently filmed a video for my Youtube channel, recommending 5 niche history books, and it got me to thinking.
You can really learn a lot about a person based on their non-fiction choices, even more than their fictional choices. To pick up a non-fiction book in your free time, you really have to have to have a vested personal interest in whatever subject the book is about.
In general, I really enjoy non-fiction titles and learning a little bit more about subjects and people that interest me. I love biographies, autobiographies and memoirs about people whose lives or careers I find fascinating. I love travel memoirs, books about food and comedy and music, I love history books and collections of articles or essays.
There is a huge world of non-fiction out there to explore and it's actually a great way to combine passions, since I obviously adore books and reading, and with non-fiction titles I can combine that love with numerous other interests at the same time.
Do you read non-fiction? If so what kind of non-fiction books appeal to you?
